BRSN: What was your mindset going into this weekend’s game against Penn State? AP: Going into this weekend against Penn State, I was just focused on controlling what I can control in order to put my team in the best position to win the game. The little things mattered most, and I was focused on executing all of the small details within the game that make the biggest difference.
BRSN: How did the team feel at the half? AP: The team felt pretty confident at half time, we got to an early lead which was good. But we knew we could never be comfortable, because you never know what can happen. There is a lot of game left and you just have to continue to play and sell out for every play.
BRSN: How did you feel during the final minute of this game? AP: During the final minute of the game, I felt confident and poised. I knew we were ready for this moment and trusted all of the work we’ve put in. Although it was a little nerve racking, we were ready for this.
BRSN: How do you like to prepare for games? AP: Personally in preparation for games, I like to focus on the things I can control. Instead of worrying about opponents and matchups, I focus on getting to the best possible version of myself.
BRSN: What are your expectations for the rest of the season? AP: Looking forward, I think we have a lot of potential. However, we need to continue to keep getting better and prioritizing the little things within the game. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this year.
