Big Red Bites – 10/27/15

Junior Colin Sinclair and David Volfson of the men’s tennis team made it to the semifinals in their respective competitions at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional.

Marika Cusick and Dena Tanenbaum of the women’s tennis team made it to the semifinals of the singles bracket at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional.

Field hockey crushed Lehigh on Senior Day, 7-0. They are just one game behind Princeton in the Ivy League, and they face them on October 31st.

Men’s hockey picked up a couple of victories in exhibitions this weekend, defeating Ryerson 5-2 and Laurentian 6-1. In the second affair, freshman Anthony Angello had four goals.

Women’s hockey was beat twice by #2/3 Boston College, by scores of 4-1 and 8-0.

Football remains without a win as they drop their sixth game of the season against Brown by a score of 44-24. They managed to get the running game going without Luke Hagy, and Robert Somborn had a nice game, but the defense couldn’t hold the fort down.

Men’s soccer goes to 1-3 on the Ivy season and 3-10-1 overall as they dropped a game to Brown, 1-0.

Women’s soccer was defeated in overtime by Brown by a score of 3-2, and they fall to 2-2-1 in their Ivy season.
