Big Red Bites – 11/9/15

Men’s hockey won their first ECAC game against Princeton, but lost a heart-breaker against Quinnipiac in overtime.

Exactly the same thing happened to women’s hockey, minus the overtime loss.

Men’s and women’s soccer both dropped their games on the road against Dartmouth. Men’s has one more game of the season next weekend, while women’s concludes its 2015 season.

Football falls to 0-8 as they lost their bout against Dartmouth, a Friday night game televised on NBC Sports Network.

Volleyball falls to 6-16 on the year, as they lost to Dartmouth, 3-0.

Field hockey defense-woman Marisa Siergiej was named Defensive Player of the Year, and two others (Katy Weeks and Krysten Mayers) were also handed All-Ivy honors.

Former AOTW and renowned sailer Quinn Howes took 11th place at the Women’s Singlehanded Championship.

Six Women’s Hockey alums won medals at the Four Nations Cup in Sweden as Team USA defeated Team Canada: Alyssa Gagliardi ’14, Rebecca Johnston ’12, Laura Fortino ’13, Lauriane Rougeau ’13, Jessica Campbell ’14 and Jillian Saulnier ’15.
