The BRSN team selects one Cornell athlete each week whose performance stood out among their peers both within the Cornell athletic community and the Ivy League.
RELEASE: ITHACA, NY — Cornell junior field hockey forward Krysten Mayers has been named the BRSN Athlete of the Week. She posted her second career hat trick by scoring all three goals, including the double-overtime game-winner, in the Big Red’s 3-2 victory over No. 13 Princeton on Saturday. The win was Cornell’s first over Princeton since 2007 and was the team’s first victory over a nationally-ranked opponent since 2014.
