On October 20, 2014 Big Red Sports Network officially announced its Athlete of the Week Honor. The BRSN team will be selecting one Cornell Athlete each week whose performance stood out among their peers both within the Cornell athletic community and the Ivy League.
RELEASE: ITHACA, NY- BRSN has named Junior Men’s Ice Hockey Forward Christian Hilbrich the BRSN Player of the Week. Hilbrich recorded his first two goals of the season in back-to-back nights to lead the Men’s Hockey team to its first four point weekend of the season. Hilbrich netted the game-winner on Friday to give Cornell a 3-2 victory over Yale. He then found himself in the right place at the right time on Saturday by deflecting a one-timer from the point in the Big Red’s 4-0 win against Brown.
