This past weekend at Madison Square Garden, Cornell wrestlers Nahshon Garrett and Gabe Dean both won national titles in the NCAA Wrestling Championship. Garrett, the senior and four-time All-American, finished his season at 37-0, which ties the famous record set by Kyle Dake in 2012-2013. Dean, a junior, won his second consecutive title and looks to go into next season as the leader of a team that boasted three All-Americans this season and 59 total under head coach Rob Koll, not to mention 15 wrestlers with national titles. While the team only finished seventh collectively with 67 points, there’s still a lot to be proud about. See Cornell Athletics for more details on the matches.
